i just committed to skating a solo in an ice skating show in NYC in march
now i have to get in shape and itll be perfect with derby becuase our first bout is in april! but i’m scared…i havent performed solo since i was 14 except for skating tests and i 
havent really skated since my last competition. ahhhh. not to mention i have to choreograph something again. challengessss

i basically took a month and a half off of skating in any way and it was awful.

i have been so antsy and unfocused and i am POSITIVE that it is because of my lack of physical activity.

yesterday i skated around my neighborhood for 30 minutes and it made me so happy. joyskate.

the next two weeks are finals, but i am going to try my hardest to use that little gym in my building or go for skates as many days as i can. 

I cannot wait to start working out regularly again. i like when i can feel my muscles. I like being sore. I like feeling like i did something.

one small step closer!

today i muscled through my first 6 mile run in a couple years! yay!

it was a little rough, but i’m glad i did it. that will be my long run for the week i think.

i also did a workout from the most recent Oxygen magazine. I did it with lighter weights than i would usually, but i would still call it productive.

off to check off more things on my to do list !
