We won! :) And I finally got to play at Hunter College.
And on the day after, went to Spa Castle with my team. Amazing
I may look ridiculous, but I was ridiculously happy.
I’m pretty sure I have wanted to skate for this league for almost my entire time spent involved with roller derby- about 2 years this month. And I finally did it. And I’m finally doing it. Even though there are ups and downs, its nice to finally feel like i’m accomplishing and directly working towards the goals I set for myself. I am starting to feel less lost, and more like an individual. I couldn’t have done any of these things I have been accomplishing- making this team, getting into pharmacy school, finally finding out how ice skating fits into my life now- without the past and present support I have behind me and I am so grateful for that every day. I would be nowhere without it. I have no idea who I would be right now, or what I’d be doing.

I am crossing my fingers and toes for #1. I didn’t even expect them to grant me an interview, but it went really well.
in other news, I get drafted on GGRD in a week and a half! While I’d be happy on any team, I think I’m still secretly crossing my fingers for the 1 spot open on Brooklyn (who doesn’t want to be a nautical bombshell?). I’m sure I’ll be all about any team that wants me, there are advantages to each and every one and skaters I’d love to work with too.
I have a headache because I haven’t had coffee yet today.
I have a heating pad attached to my groin in hopes that this strain relieves itself by 7pm for practice. In less than a month I will know what home team I’m on.
Biochemistry is boring.
Not knowing about these other pharmacy schools makes me panicked. I have small heart attacks every time I check my email, which I check about once every hour I am awake, or more.

I am sick with a terribly annoying head cold and juggling studying for 4 finals in one day.
but hey I have colored flash cards and five different kinds of post its and 6 colors of highlighters and a lot of tea and coffee in my system and had a great Gotham FM Pool practice earlier and my ankle is finally really improving!
so there’s nothing I can’t achieve! I AM GOING TO BE FINISHED SO SOON.
plus, my ipod is making the best shuffle right now.

made it to the fresh meat pool! 20 of 80-something of us did.
now to battle these sprains i incurred at the end of call backs today…i have a week and a half before the first practice so I’m going to be on my best behavior til then!

i essentially gave in my two weeks notice for my roller derby team (if that’s a thing). My last bout as a DSRG will be Sunday. A step towards my post-grad future in NYC. 19 days til tryouts…
the components of my new skates i can’t stop thinking about. they are custom, they are perfect, and they will be mine in four weeks or less!
